Sitting in a Montmartre café on a gloomy autumn day, the rain on the outside and the condensation on the inside of the windows, creates a stark contrast between the people happily chatting inside and the isolated individuals huddled against the cold and damp on the street outside.

No matter how comfortable we feel in our own situation, we should always spare a thought for those who may be on the outside just trying to get by in difficult circumstances and realise how blessed we are to be in the warmth of human companionship.
