Manhattan Blues
When you visit a major city, whether you're down at street level looking up at a skyscraper, or on the roof of one looking across the city, the edges of the buildings can be sharp and harsh.
It has been said that city dwellers also develop the same fortitude, protecting themselves in the same way the buildings protect them.
That self-isolation can easily descend into a sense of melancholy, leading people to yearn for a gentler, softer version of their city.
